When I woke up this morning, well I hated the man that I'd seen.

He was waiting in the bathroom mirror with a pistol-whip chin & a gun for me.

And I said, "Hey! Boy! Why you wanna be my destiny?"

He said, "Man, get that gun out of your hand you wanna try and talk to me."

And I said,

Show me something I can believe, even if I've never seen

'Cause I've been walking a straight line, it hasn't done any good for me.

And I said HEY! Show me something I can believe if I haven't seen.

'Cause I've been praying to god, but he still won't answer me...

So that next Tuesday, he took me to his favorite tree.

And he swore yeah "This is where God & The Devil went and put the end to me."

And I say "Hey! Boy! Why you wanna point that finger at me?"

Then he pulled out a contract said "Son get back or you'll burn indeed."
